So not a lot of progress tonight. Just a few fidally little bits. Plus had a tidy up in the garage as tools were every were and couldn't find feck all

I then striped the windows out of the truck cab. And started prepping the worst bits.

Bloody body prep work, Why does it take so long :(

So Wednesday night I finished rubbing the truck cab down

Hopefully I will get home at a reasonable hour tomorrow, So I can get some primmer on them in the afternoon :)

Bodywork prep bores me to years literally!

But the longer you can stand doing it shows in the final result!
Stick at it, it's looking pretty good so far

Yep same here, Drives me mad. Although I'm not doing every little scratch and dent. No point doing it showroom condition. As it will probably get scratched in the future any way.
That said I'm still spending a fecking long time doing it.

So early finish today, Home for 2:30pm. Well it's better than getting back at 6ish.

Managed to get the tailgate windscreen and truck cab in primmer.

I wanted to take the windscreen out but i didn't fancy putting it back in my self so just masked it up.

Also removed one of the inner wings as its a bit rotten and I've got a spare so might as well replace while its in bits.
Next removed the outer wing skin as I plan on fitting a new set as they're dinted to feck

Work again in the morning :( hopefully not be an all dayer. So I can get some paint on some bits in the afternoon :)

Looking very good indeed.

Are you going to fit the rope tie downs to the tub? If you are how many rivets are you going to put per tie down?

Cheers :)

And its not a job I'm going to be doing unless I get some sort of cover for the back. But the ones on the tailgate have got two spot welds. So if it was me I would put two rivets in :)

As promised a few pics of paint :)

Hopefully get every thing bar the tailgate fitted tomorrow as I need some new bolts for that.

Bit more of an update later :)

Good stuff, don't want the paint falling off now haha!

Shiny paintedness is looking great!

Hopefully the paint wont be going any were ;)
Very happy with the results to say its only the second one I've done :)
Who ever painted it in the past obviously did a crap job as it was flaking of in places.

Wahay! Do you want to do mine next

Paint?
If so you prep it and I'd give it a quick blow over for you :)

Other progress today was on the wings.

I'm Putting another set of wing skins on as they currently look like this

And which way does everyone fit the front wings?
When I did my brothers I fitted them with the inner wings attached but was a bit awkward.
Is it any easier to fit them separately?

So first job this morning was to fit the windscreen and the truck cab back.
And sat the roof on to make sure every thing lined up :)
Couldn't fit the vent flaps as I need some new seals.

Next job was to fit a better set of wing skins. Had a set of td5 wings in the shed, Was saving them for when I build some thing on a galv chassis and the best body I can, But ill sort that when it actually happens, So I robbed the skins of them :p

Looking much better :)
