Anybody able to throw some light on this. Drove truck home today, no prob with kickdown or power, turbo working great. changed thermostat and she heated up ok, took for a spin, no power, no turbo, no kickdown...:mad::mad:
when i put my foot to floor sounds like air under pressure escaping from somewhere. please help... need it for the morning!!

you have knocked something or mixed up an electrical connector possibly?

did you remove or open any air pipes when doing the stat the air noise sounds like air escaping between the turbo and the engine

just took pipe off top of engine from air filter to get access to thermostat. On drivers side of engine where this pipe goes to, i presume that's to turbo, it seemed very loose where it goes under manifold, how is it connected under there? this could be the issue but can't see anything right now:(

Ok, went out early:brushteeth::yawn: this morning and gave any pipe i moved a good shove. Took for a spin and turbo now works:dance: oh and the thermostat also works now, needle goes to middle and sits there, nice warm truck on way to work:mil79:
thanks for suggestions guys, sometimes you just need to vent:)

the EGR pipe goes past the thermostat I think, so maybe you loosened it? blank it off while you're there!
