Freelander 2 (LR2) A rear drop link question.

When you replace the rear drop links are they under any compression or tension? Or is it just a question of undoing the nuts, sliding (or punching) them out and slipping in the new ones?

I suppose the same question applies to the front, but it’s the rear ones I need to do.

they are not under tension if vehicle is sat level, but if you jack up one side you apply tension

Ah, that makes sense. So, both sides up on ramps, axles stands, railway sleepers, whatever.
