A new light on the dashboard!!!!

any help greatly aprreciated on this one ,,,personally i just think the sensor wants replacing but i'd soooner ask for advice..what it is,is that the srs light on the dash came on yesterday and hasnt gone out yet ,i know i havent pranged anyone or anything

A fault somewhere in the airbag system. I believe the commonest problem is with the switch in the seat that tells the system the seat is occupied.-

Mine does this as well, usually sorted by looking at all connections under the passenger seat, multi blocks etc (im sure its a yellow one) mine is a TD5 2001, anyway make sure they are all connected properly and it should reset.

I had this on a TDi 300 and it was cured by replacing the rotary coupler on the steering wheel.

My 51 disco2 does this all the time i just shake the wires under the driver seat and it normally puts it out
