If she don't like landies, she has no taste! Just dump her and get a Def! ;):D

Get her to go on a test drive,

Preferably on a warm day so if she wants the extra elbow room she can have the window open and not get cold,

:welcome2:

My wife loves our ex military 110 and thats even more basic than a defender on some fronts, she does get involved with the restoring / planning trips bit so you need to nurture ya wifes interests, appeal to the motherly instinct etc...

That said my wife prefers Landys to kids so guess I have an exceptionally good wife :D:D

One of my wife's friends has got a 110 td5. She's about 5ft 2" and has to sit on a cushion to see over the steering wheel. Its funny to see her pick my missus up for a works dinner driving the Defender with evening dress and trainers with high heels slung in the back.

Have to fight my wife regularly for my rightful place at the wheel. But she likes the smell of oil and the way I'm squirming around under the fender... go figure. ;)

Well surveys show women prefer guys in 4x4s so if she don't like it get rid of her and get a more appreciating model that gives you the respect you deserve by owning such a clunge clinger!

At the end of the day defenders don't get made no more so harder to get but women are 2 to a penny!

My wife is aware of this so appreciates my landy! Although when she told me she reverses and hopes for the best because it has no windows in rear worried me! So I have had to ban her from it and she is now locked in the kitchen

Defenders, old Rangies, and perhaps a few other vehicles are always stylish. With wellies and a Barbour, nobody can tell if she's a farmers wife or a duchess!

Theyre like anything, once you get used to driving them they're a walk in the park. They give a great view of the road and you feel quite protected in your tank . People tend to keep a respectful distance from you and the incidents of being cut up are few and far between . Parking the buggers can take some getting used to but it comes with practice.

I love my beast and wouldn't swap it for any other :)

I keep a booster cushion in my 110 for when the ballast needs/wants to drive it.

i'm struggling to understand why all these stories of women struggling to see or reach the peddles, I'm hardly a giant of a woman but I manage with ease.

The only difficulty I sometimes have is getting into the beast wearing heels ,as I have no steps and reaching across into the engine bay without standing on a step

It not a land rover seat and not on runners so it dont move
I dont think she is to bothered about driving it any way
She has a car

:rolly:

My wife has no troubles either...though could do with a side step, and even copes without any power steering, after all thats a little work out in its own right!
Yep 110 Woman its just a case of getting used to them, and ya right about the drive height etc great visibility and tbh I find my 110 far easier to park and reverse into spaces than my old Escort van that had crap visibility :)
