Bit of pressure in the expansion tank, nothing major - however....

Either top of Rad has let go or it’s blowing out of the top hose connection.....

Grrrr......
 
What a fiddly bar steward job digging out a Rad is, the A/C gets in the way everywhere - conflicted about ripping it out.

Anyhoo - after removing years of oil and mud from a legacy fuel line leak, found a bonus;

Head replaced at some point, one less thing to worry about....for now.

Now for biscuits and the rebuild.
 
I would defo keep a/c if not for you for a future owner as its still pretty rare for an old defender to have a/c.
 
Nearly done....a PITA to refit the Rad/Intercooler.
