Hello,
I've been running my 90 with the new 200TDi for two days now and I'm really impressed, but there are a few small niggly bits, none of which are fatal or anything First of all, I've suddenly realised how crap my steering is! I'm not bothered about fitting power steering and I can't afford the parts necessary anyway (I've just removed my PAS pump too - it was broken). My drop arm has never had the lip to secure the rubber gaiter / dust cover, so water / crud has been able to get into the ball joint. Will this cause massive handling problems and slack steering or wondering?
Also, one or two of the injectors are 'chuffing' slightly, so I'm assuming that the copper washers are leaking. There is also a small amount of oil / diesel seeping from around the base of the injectors where they enter the head. Is this evident of copper washers that aren't sealing? I think it's an easy fix, I just need to do it.
Other than that I'm really really happy I'll be making and posting a video of my engine and various other bits tomorrow (camera is on charge ) because we all like a good engine video don't we....?
