as said above, i decided to have a fight with my fence this morning, and the disco lost. ive smashed a o/s/f indaicator lense (which im going to buy new) but i need a early disco 2 td5 front bumper please, as close to hull as possible or wherever if your willing to post it.

thanks

well after searching and ringing today i think ive got more chance of finding hens teeth, or spend £350 upwards plus vat for a new non LR one, or £250 plus vat for a used one if my local breakers get one in, when i only payed a £1000 for the car. looks like im going to have to go heavy duty, its cheaper and it shouldnt shatter in a million pieces if i go offroad or sneeze to hard next to it (plus i might win against the fence next time :D) why the hell did they change it from a metal bumper with end caps to a solid piece of plastic. anyway it was my fault so i will have to get over it.

So....

does anyone know anywhere that sells them cheaper?

And anyone have a H/D one for sale?

thanks

i would love to do one myself as im not bad at welding, not the best, but not bad and fancy a go, but i dont have indoor space to do it so would have to do it outside in this weather, and i cant really have the car in bits for too long, i was trying to find some pictures and measurements for the bumper mountings and then i could measure outside dimensions on the car to get the length of tubing/Bar, but i had no luck with that.

How much would you charge for a bumper to be made, where abouts are you located? And have you got any pics of ones that you have made?

thanks, James

Mine was for a D1 so slightly different but I can measure up the chassis rail width on a D2 and get something done as my mates dad has one if needed

Old one was just a heavy duty ram so not pretty but it did the job well but I can design stuff on 3D can or by hand drawing and get shapes cut etc on the laser

cost wise I would just charge whatever the materials were plus a little bit for my time as it's more of a hobby thing so last time I used £80 worth of cut steel and it was overkill to say the least, I bumped into various things with it and never had more than a scratch in the paint

getting it to you I'm probably about 90 mins away so could deliver for fuel cost
