Hi guys,

Been a while since I posted on here. Due to personal circumstances I have been unable til now to put my landy back on the road, until now.
Decided to buy the last few parts for it. An nearside rear fuel tank outrigger, brake pipes and gaskets. Order turned up today. I instantly knew something was wrong. They sent front outrigger instead.
I checked the invoice and it says front outrigger. I know I clicked on the right part rear outrigger as it is the last piece of the puzzle. I know it's their website at fault.
The part is £15 plus postage. They want £12 off me to return it as I can't prove it is their fault. They refuse to budge with regards to stumping up the postage and sending me the correct part. Do I have back up with distant selling rules? Surely the seller stumps up the delivery?

I apologize if this is in the wrong forum. I hope you are all doing well.

Tom

The seller's terms and conditions or returns policy should state who pays the cost of returning the item.

If they don't state this, then the seller has to cover the cost.

It all depends on the company returns t&c's... if the item return cost are down to the purchaser or not, they could send a courier to collect the part of u arrange the courier, but then it's only the carriage cost and nothing else if returning the item/s. (In an as received condition) and u are requesting just a replacement, its a bit different if u are requesting a refund there may be handling charges.

If requested by the seller you do need to provide a copy of your order you made on line, if you don't have it perhapes they could sent u a copy, also you should have receive a conformation email listing the parts ordered and how payment was made on completion of your order.

If or when it's found that that an incorrect part was sent, the company will or should take the hit and pick up the costs incurred in the return and supply of the correct part.

There's not a month goes by without me receiving the incorrect item at work, but if we can't use it, it goes back to supplier at their cost or they can send the correct item FOC... as it is hassle returning goods for both parties... and we can keep the original to use somewhere in the future, depends on the item cost of course.
