98 freelander ird oil

I need to replace the oil in the ird as I think it's running low as I'm getting a whining noise, what oil do I use?

After checking with LR that it was suitable, I replaced my IRD oil with Swepco 70/90. I had some left over from when I had a Porsche 944 (the front engine ones). This oil is highly recommended among the 944 owners for silencing noisy transaxles. It certainly works on my Freelander. For more details try seaching the TIPEC website for Swepco.
