Have done the usual searches on here ref. the wonderful memory seats on my 93 LSE...

not a problem with the switch - as I have cleaned the old one, and even replaced it :) however when I try to operate the driver's seat the wing mirrors operate instead.

I am assuming that it is either a seat ECU issue...
or
a short somewhere?

has anyone had this issue before?

regards

Alasdair

The battery inside the ecu leaks with age and eats into the the ecu, I have seen people replace the ecu with realys to get the seats and mirrors working.

Just to ask the obvious question, you have programmed the two buttons to your preferred seating positions haven't you?
If the mirrors are moving when you press the button then the ECU is sending the signal to move to a stored position (the memory seates moves the door mirrors also). Now maybe the ECU is corrupted and not taking a seat position as well but I doubt it would keep a mirror position without keeping a seat also. Check the handbook for seating the seats as maybe the handbrake has to be on as well as in park to allow you to set your preferred position

I was refering to Cotswalds issues, his mirrors move when he presses the memory button, I'm assuming his seats actually work. If your seats aren't moving at all you need to start at the fuses and work from there.
