Hi all got in my landy today only for the brake pedal to hit the floor!after looking under bonnet i noticed fluid under the servo area.Garage has told me the wing will have to come off to repair as its either master cylinder or abs module is this right seems a bit much to do master cylinder

You don't need to take the wing off to change a master cylinder on a defender. Was it a landy specialist or just a local gge?

I'd be taking the vehicle elsewhere to be fixed or else repairing it myself.
 
If under the servo is wet then it is probably a leak from the master, leaking past the seals and running out between the master and servo.

I'd order a new master and do it myself.
 
cheers guys,the 90 is covered by a warranty will be interesting to see if it is covered as should be a free repair.will let you know if they take wing off!!!:rolleyes:
 
just had phone call to tell me that the leak is the abs module unit,and yes it is covered by warranty thank *uc* for that they said the bill would of been £900!!!! sounds like they did it without taking wing off.:):)
