90 wiper issue

Hi Guys

New to the forum but have found some eggxceelnt info to help with 89 LR 90.

Getting on top of all the usual bits to bring to a better standard ie door posts, bulkhead panel , rear cross member electricals etc etc.Even found and fitted some repalcement seats from a Shogun ....like driving from an armchair now !

One question: I had to replace the wiper motor and now once on the move the wiper blades are striking/slapping the washer nozzles....its driving me nuts ! Do i need to replace the gear at the rear of the blades or can i adjust the motor in some way?

And guys please........I am no mechanic keep it simple !!!!!!!!

Take off the wiper arms, reposition em tap em back on .....simples

Ta for that BUT wipere are perfect until i get up to say 30/35 then they start slapping. Pull up at traffic lights and they operate purfect! But thanks anyways

So is there any play in the wiper arms or not


Cos if there is then you've got some wear, somewhere between the motor n the arms.

N if there isn't any play then refer to my first post

YEP very sloopy in the park mode.

I was attempting to get out of taking the dashboard to bits in case i got to my usual point of.......... WTF do i do now !

Sos it looks like dashboards coming out or turn the CD player up when its raining

my moto: if your going to do it ...do it right !
