Have you jacked up the driver front to see how the wheel comes to rest? i.e. does it tilt out abnormally at the top or bottom?

can't be the swivel pins if you have lost drive,

I go for the CV

If you dissmantle form the CV inwards you will find out what it is, as you need to do this to get the diff out any way if it is that.

Hi All, Thanks For The Help So Far, Now Up On Stands, So Here Goes, I Think Cv From The Start, Wheel Did Not Tilt When Jacked, all The Metal Clunking Seems To Come From Wheel/swivel/ Cv Area. Priced Cv In Bearmachs, They Reckon £90, What Do You Think Of Price, Is It Best To Replace Shaft As Well As Cv?
Regards To All
Rob

Get it all apart first, its the only way of finding out. If it is the CV joint then pop a new one in (the price is definatly not the cheapest but probably a quality one) and put it back together. You will need a couple of new seals and gaskets for stub axle etc and a new lot of one shot swivel ball oil.

If it is the CV it will probably fall out when you get to it as it is smashed to bits inside.
