So, windscreen washers not working, simple, add water. After a watering can full, large bottle I thought, realised water was simply running straight through. Search your posts for an answer, and found out how to access the bottle and pump. Found a hole in the bottle, presumably where the pump should be? Found wiring and plug close by, but can't find the hose anywhere, could have been removed when they (who?) removed the pump. Where does the hose fit to, I can't find where the pipe runs up to the jets, presumable behind the dash somewhere? Will it connect to some type of valve or filter or something inside the engine compartment?

Thanks for advice

Seems the wiper motor is behind the dash, does the washer pipe go through the bulkhead and connect behind the dash or should I be able to see where it connects in the engine bay, because the pipe is missing completely I don't really know where to look?

Thanks

it does

the pipes (front and back) go through by the heater. If you remove the passenger side speaker bit of the dash, that's where it comes through

Removed part of the dash and found the washer hose and traced it back into the engine bay where it's been cut just by the heater box, unless there was a valve there? Did some research and found the car used to be a hard top and may have had a rear wash, hence why there's holes in the washer bottle for 2 pumps, front and rear? One pump is still there, the other is the one that's missing, hence the hole and the leak. Do you think I could plug the hole and use the other pump for the front washers? what's the difference between the front and rear pump. different part numbers I've found, but surely they're similar?

Thanks again

So I've moved the wiring from the left pump, which is missing, to the right pump, but this doesn't work and when I put a meter on the terminals, no voltage to the left hand pump or the right hand pump wiring? Could it be a fuse, although the wipers operate when you push the stalk for the washers, or could it be the switch in the stalk, although as I say the wipers work when the stalk is pushed, is there a separate switch for the washers?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated as this is driving me nuts!
