90 Roof

General consensus seems to be that I have the roof too far forward so I have moved it back and taken more photos, if you look at the one near the rear of the door I think we can agree that it would be a problem going any further back as the metal strip the door rubber would sit on would then anag three side panels, also the front mounting holes are no where near lining up any more

I was just gonna say, thats where its being raised by the looks of it, just behind the door aperture/ B pillar..
By the b pillar is defiantly where it needs to be lower but nothing at all is touching in that area, it's a problem at the front that's causing it, difficult to convey the issue with photos

Mine is a 1989. Are you a fellow classic Hymer owner? Is that a B544 in the background?
Actually, thinking about your offer, it might be useful to be able to measure the windscreen surround etc to see if that may be the issue, maybe later ones were i little lower ?. if you want to text me your number ill call you , mine is (deleted as suggested, ill find the pm option in a bit)

It's never a good idea to post your personal details on a personal forum, mate. Better to send a personal message(PM) for that.

Has the screen srung forward since you removed the roof? Is the snorkle pulling it forward? If you can tighten down the screen bolts, that would bring the top back and down. When i refitted my roof, the flange along the door opening section of the roof that carries the door rubber sits inside the flange of the b pillar.

Good point maybe remove snorkel loosen and swing windscreen forward fit roof to back and sides and see where windscreen sits when offers back up...

Ill check that later, I dont think the snorkel is pulling on it as it just enters the wing through a "southdown" moulding which is not currently fixed to anything so the only mount is on the windscreen, ill give the screen a push though, see if it moves although the door gap looks right ish given that my hinges are quite worn.

I might try that later, im running out of ideas to be honest even had a few friends round now for second opinions but that only resulted in more people scratching their heads !! wish i'd kept the old roof for reference
