90 Lights

Evening All,

The lights on my TD5 90 have a fault, this appeared after connecting to a trailer.

Turn the side lights on, all the correct lights come on, move the switch to dipped main beam and all the lights go off, including the instrument display, I can flash the high beam.

I have tried disconnecting the head lights one at a time, no change, all the fuses are ok, all the tail lights are working correctly. Connecting to another trailer all the trailer lights work as they should.

Any ideas??

The first trailer needs it's wiring sorting.

I agree, but any ideas on the fault on the 90 as the lights do not work when it is not hitched up to any of the trailers?

your light switch is burnt out. Take it out and you'll find the plastic behind the contacts melted. Is the switch a bit stiffer than it used to be too?

switch feels the same, no smells, sparks etc
