Ok so missus mentioned her light playing up... The headlights stopped working on dip beam, checked

fuses, and they are fine checked power out from the headlight switch goes on and off when you move the switch

But no power to the fuse? If I use power probe to apply 12v to the fuse headlamps work etc? I can see that the main cable from the headlight switch splits into two at some point behind the dash...... I don't really want to remove the dash!

Have tried to use search function on tapatalk not having much luck!

Thanks in advance :)

The stalk switch on the steering column commonly burns out internally too - I have managed to refurb in the past but more reliable just to buy a new one!! Maybe an alternative worth checking out? A

It's on an 86 defender, didn't see a relay but might be wrong! Will look again have got power after the switch at one multi plug when headlamps are switched on.... Grrrr silly thought but would an earth cause this?
