How difficult is it to change the side panels to window panels. Are the panels easily obtainable and how much would you expect to pay. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Very easy, yes, and probably more than they're worth.

Usually loads of defender body parts on ebay just keep an eye out for some local to you.
