80" drive train ideas???

about to rebuild my 80 inch for the 3rd time, and feel its time i removed the jap crap under the bonnet and put back a landy lump. any advice on whats easy to fit and cheap to find. need to put box in as well.

Petrol or Diesel?

I've heard a lot of good things about Sherpas. Should be easy to source a good 'un & (haven't done it myself I confess) don't seem to pose too many problems to fit.

I agree though, junk the Jap!

at mo ive got a daihatsu derv c/w box which i fitted as an easy way out but dont care pet or derv, must be a landy lump for classic value
