Started out co driving for a mate in a series 2a in a few comps at the local 4WD club about 20ish years ago.
After a 20 year break and several kids, time for a mid life crisis. Stumbled onto this site and got planning.
About a year of watching a Series 3 turned up in a workmates fathers barn.
Chassis rotten, Engine going, Bulkhead stuffed, Cool PTO, Only 36000 miles

With dreams beyond my skill and knowledge level started fixing her up. It soon became apparent that possibly a different approach was needed.
From a local auction site and after a few glasses of port picked this up late one night site unseen. 73 SWB Petrol Full Canvas soft top

Gidday, looks like you've been busy with the stuff you've done so far! Where are you buying your parts from - importing from UK or paying top dollar over here?
Almost all the smaller parts and consumables from Landrover Spares in Dury - Britpart agent and 10 min down the road. Reasonably priced
A few bits from BJ autos off trade me.
Tried Rimmer or Paddocks for brake hoses but they got lost in the post so am a bit wary. The zenith was from one of the above but postage was as much as the carb
Bigger bits Engine, Roll cage, bull bars etc have been from trade me.
$1 for the roll cage I was the only bidder.
