Hi I've had landrovers for 30 yrs and I've got a chance to buy a 6x6 defender double cab expodition ready 300 tdi galv chassis many extras has been on a African trip built by foleys it's been stood a while how much would a fair price be to pay for this its going to cost around 2k to get it on the road ie tyres etc any help at all please

Only want a rough price as I have no idea and nothing to compare it to. I know it's only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it.

You could start with a price for a vehicle of the same year and condition
Then get a price for the extra diff conversion to make it 6x6
Have a look around to see the chassis is and body have been extended to a high standard
Has it been done buy a company or a man in a shed ( nothing against men in sheds obviously )
Is it all legal with the DVLA etc

Have you any pics :)

It was built by foley so properly made the price they say to convert a 130 cab and chassis to 6x6 is from 14500 plus vat I was thinking around the 12k - 15k mark but that's me I really haven't got a clue

Anyone want to throw a couple of figures in

Its very hard to value something like that without a look around it or at the least decent photos.

If its been round africa and now its stood then it may need some TLC and ££££'s spending to get it upto a decent standard though.

PM Pressbrake on ere, he used to make 6x6 conversions i believe.

I saw one at the Donington show this year
There was a drive off the diff flange over the axle to a prop to drive the next axle

Is this what you made and out of interest have you any pics
