Freelander 1 54 plate Heated Seat switches

Afternoon all,

I've always though the heated seat switches in my 54 plate SE TD4 were left & right handed but are they really? I can see that they have different parts numbers but the left & right on my car look remarkably similar.

I'm tempted to just try the ledft hand switch attahed the the right hand wiring (right hand not working) but little worried I'll do somethng bad to the electrics.

The reason I ask is that the left hand switch seem more readily available and cheaper.

I expect the only difference between the LH and RH is the screen print (picture) on the front of the switch.

So it turns out they are handed but only in terms of the connector from the loom to the switch (and the little seat picture).

A left hand connector from a donor vehicle soldered in place sorts it.
