Last week I wrote on the forum about my garage being unable to fit the EAS air compressor to my P38. You good folks explained what a simple job it was to do. A little later on the forum I saw a recommendation for a garage in Birmingham who dealt with Range/Land rovers and was recommended as giving good service.
That garage was Jamesons of 27-30 Summer Lane, Birmingham. 0121-333-3556
Today I visited the garage with a view to making an appointment for them to do the job of fitting the compressor. No sooner had I stopped and told them the problem, the bonnet was open, the compressor checked, found to be worn, and because I had the new compressor in the boot, it was fitted. The whole thing took no longer than 10 minutes.
When I asked how much I needed to pay I was a little short of the cash because I had only gone to make an appointment and therefore expected to pay on a card. To my surprise Steve said, drop it in next time you come down. He didnt know me from Adam. Needless to say I found the nearest cash machine and went back and paid.
I cannot recommend them highly enough to all landy owners in and around Birmingham.
There are some good folk out there if you know where to find them.
