Last week I wrote on the forum about my garage being unable to fit the EAS air compressor to my P38. You good folks explained what a simple job it was to do. A little later on the forum I saw a recommendation for a garage in Birmingham who dealt with Range/Land rovers and was recommended as giving good service.
That garage was Jamesons of 27-30 Summer Lane, Birmingham. 0121-333-3556
Today I visited the garage with a view to making an appointment for them to do the job of fitting the compressor. No sooner had I stopped and told them the problem, the bonnet was open, the compressor checked, found to be worn, and because I had the new compressor in the boot, it was fitted. The whole thing took no longer than 10 minutes.
When I asked how much I needed to pay I was a little short of the cash because I had only gone to make an appointment and therefore expected to pay on a card. To my surprise Steve said, drop it in next time you come down. He didn’t know me from Adam. Needless to say I found the nearest cash machine and went back and paid.
I cannot recommend them highly enough to all landy owners in and around Birmingham.
There are some good folk out there if you know where to find them.

do ya think he could fit me new airbags an il sort him out later,im a bit short this week too,lol

that is because you own a p38 so as sure as bears **** in the woods you will be back,it is the same thing with my local landrover parts specialist.
he will give me a good deal as he knows i will be back for more bits.

Its the same in London, give them £75 and they will plug it in wait 20 mins, then tell you what's wrong with it and then ask you for an open cheque to fix it....... err well its not the same is it, its the absolute opposite, ****!!

I have known the lads at Jameson for many years now and have sung their praises several times on here. John, Paul, Steve and the rest of the crew walk on water regarding ALL Range Rover variants as far as I'm concerned. I usually pop in and see them for a chat when I am over in the UK.
:praise:
