Red lever is transfer box, low and high ranges, high is pushed forwards.

Yellow is 2 or 4wd, 4wd is with the lever pushed down.

You'd be better to do a search on the forum though, I think there's an article on it, 'cos the series box can be (relatively) fragile and not doing the changes at the right time and right manner can destroy them.

Don't leave it in 4wd on the road (without snow) the front and rear axles will fight against each other, make the steering lumpy and wear out the transmission.

if yu is lucky they have a rubbery surrond to protect em.

sometimes they dont go round and round. Yu need to look and see if they is a bit flat, but if yu is lucky, they will only be flat on the bottom.

Going from an auto hub (comon jap 4x4) I thought had had blown the front diff or half shafts on my series 2a because when I spun the front prop round by hand it moved even in 4wd then on day I noticed a little nut on the hub I turned it with a spanner and 4wd worked. How silly I felt but its easy to do I could have gon to the lengths of removing the half shafts and everything.

think that's one of those moments that you look round to check no one else saw your mistake and then never mention it to anyone!! :D
