Hi all. After a bit of advice. My old 90 is currently sorn with no tax and just theft insurance at the mo as I have been considering converting it to a comp tray back or getting a space frame made.

Trouble is that most of the 4x4 Venus require mot/tax/insurance. I get the insurance but is mot possible on a space frame or tray back? Ie with no light indicators? road tax... Seems odd for private land.

Thanks for the help

I think so. It's the rest of the car as would be heavily modified. Then how to insure?! And Tax

Ok can do that. Wasn't sure how flexy it was. It's the road tax that makes little sense for p&p

The reasons some places ask for tax and test is to keep the twunts with bangers away.

The ****ers who turn up with a chassis and a seat and rag the ****e out of there motor on there land and then just either leave it or crash into someone with a nice motor that they care about etc etc.

It causes the land owner a headache and also limits people coming to the site, as they dont want the hassle.

I know some chaps on here who run a P and P event and they say no bangers or trailers but if you call them up and explain its a £10K off road buggy that you dont want to crash then they are usually ok about it.

Obviously if its a ****ter when you turn up on the day then your asked to leave.

Good luck. :D
