who's best/cheapst? the cheapist i can get through the comparision web sites is £934.16 is there anyone out there who specilises in 4x4 insurance? have been driving for 3 years with 2 years NCB 1 conviction and will be 21 in june
 
do a search, it comes up at least once a week and the answers different dependant on circumstance.
 
try frank pickles, they do 4x4 insurance quite cheap - failing that, go for 2gether, or adrian flux - all policies cover laning as well.
 
Adrian Flux, if you mention your a member here you'll get a further discount!
I found them the best by far, especially if you have mods!
 
Lancaster is the other big one to try

I personally wouldn't touch adrian flux with a barge pole - but that's cus they screwed me over on insurance a while back so have lost my business for life.

Oh - and if you're young add your parents or at least your mum on the policy if they have a clean license - putting them as a named driver on your policy can knock £100's off! and it has no effect on them if you go and smash up your car, but does mean they can drive it back from the pub for you if you've had one to many.

when i've tried adding family before it just puts the cost up :S but i'll give it ago :)
