4.6 HSE auto gearbox issues?

Hi,
I'm getting a strange noise and engine retarding feeling on lift off of the throttle when I let the car coast also occasionally when I step on the gas lightly there is a jerk on the transmission during take up or on the occasional gear change. The transmission fluid has been checked and is the right level and pink in colour.
Any ideas please.

how did you check oil ,to test colour often a little needs draining,but free wheel clutch wear on those boxes as well others

The gearbox was cold and the engine idling. I moved from park all through the gears then back to park before checking the transmission dipstick.

hot cold doesnt matter apart from hot you wont be able to get plug back in,dropping some in clear container is best
