4.6 engine expired, to break or repair?????

hi im from worksop, notts and own a very pretty 99t 4.6hse auto (lpg converted), my problem seems to be a familiar fault, water pressurising, we naievely thought it was a headgasket fault and removed the heads before finding out it was a liner fault, i have £2000 sat in it, should i break for spares? im being qouted £2000 to have a 2nd hand engine fitted, any advice would be gratefully received

right ill keep hunting thanks for the reply, id consider cutting my losses if anyone could recommend a landy breaker that wouldnt spank me too hard, i broke a 300tdi last year and was amazed how much i got for it in bits, mind you there was a good motor in that one as apposed to this peice of pooh
