4.0 V8 oil

Just done a search and not found owt diffinative!

Rave gives a range of oils to use, but what have you found to be the oil to use?

Also semi or fully?

Mines a 4.0 petrol and LPG

10/40 is fine......I did put 5/40 in it at one time and it ran a tad cooler.

I use Magnatec 10/40 in my lpg 4.6. Seems to run sweet enough. Oil filter from main dealer was only a tenner so went with that as it wasnt much more than a pattern one.

When I had a new cam in my 4.0L,v8
Developments told me to use 20/50 and
always use land rover oil filters due to
some device in the filter to do with pressure.

i use 20-50 with original lr white filters,seems to do the job nicely.
