Looking st the pump is the end cover just a bayonet fitting.twist it and remove,there may be a mesh filter that can be cleaned or the electri contacts that need cleaning up..

The carbs are stromberg not su and have membranes in them not a piston and the membranes could be punctured or warped and not lifting the needles as they should .
