I think I've posted this before, but I can't find my thread, so...

Got a quiet day so been costing a G4 ish light bar (would be the same idea, but without the space in the middle for the plaque and more even spacing for the lights).

How much interest would there be? Looking to be no more than £100 including VAT and a zinc primer and satin black paint (or can be painted in any other available powder colour if anyone has a specific colour scheme).

Opinions and ideas on a postcard to the usual address...

Provisionally yes depending on when you wanted the money...

I remember reading that you've come up with a clamp that sits flush with the roof - is that so and would it be available separately?

I'd worked something out, which sort of worked, but then a genuine G4 bar became available which I got for a cracking price so I bought that. The fixing mechanism on the G4 bar is largely the same as the one I'd worked out.

I could provide a separate fixing kit if necessary yes, as for costs I don't know yet.

She hates the hippo anyway.......

So if I suggest it for chrimbo she will be all :lalala:

Just found this picture of a G4 3door Freelander, guess the light bar will be similar to the one fitted to this one?

Ok so for those who aren't to sure, what exactly does the G4 light bar look like and where does it mount?

Mounts just above the winscreen on the 3dr, under the plastic cappings are seams which it clamps to...

Looks like this

Been considering a Hilux Invincible myself actually, makes more sense than a Defender!

Great I like the look of those, just need to convince the my good lady that we need some spot lights. :).

Just for curiosity, where do you route the wires from the spotlight with them being on the roof to inside the car?
