Took the Disco for a drive today, brimmed the tank before leaving and brimmed it when I got back.
Got 33.2 mpg towing a trailer which I'm quite pleased with:)
Car weighed just short of a ton and I cruised at 50/55 both ways, mostly motorway.
Was hoping for a bit more considering the speed but not bad and the heater was fantastic once I got on the motorway so I think it needs flushing out so as it will work on short journies.
Teasted the temp at the services and the heater was burning hot, the gauge read normal when the block was 84deg and the head 79deg so all ok me thinks.
btw the trailer tyres were 17 to 20 deg and the Disco tyres were all around 18 deg. Handy things them lazer temp thingys:D

happy with it now then!?

Got to say ...yes.
Would have perfered to do the trip in the 110 but heater not fixed yet, the V8 is more responsive and sounds better, having said that it wouldn't have gone all the way to Brizzle with the car on the back without changin out of top like the Disco did so full marks 200tdi.

P.S. gonna change me avitar now, the AA van is past it's sell by date
