i have a donor 300tdi engine i bought through this forum. it's a 21L engine, but the low stress stamped numbers (number made out of dots) are very corroded. how many numbers should there be after the 21L?

any help would be appreciated

6 digits after 21L. Letters and numbers

cheers ratty, luckily the guy i bought it from still has the details and is sending them too me. i thought there were six followed by an A, it will be interesting to find out if i got it right lol. it would have helped if land rover had stamped them a bit harder lol

I thought that 11L was a 200Tdi and model 16L was a 300Tdi. I've not heard of 21L is that a newer one?

There are several code numbers for a 300tdi. From what I understand 21L is with EGR
