Don't need to drain the whole system - just the reservoir and the pipe itself .... when re-filled, most of the air should come out on its own so to speak .... unless the system is running whilst you change the pipe - even then you only need to operate the steering lock to lock ( on a jack & axle stands is kind ), and the system will self bleed

Brief update. Still awaiting the new turbo and fuel hoses. However having used @lynall suggestion of temporary bodge with a brass straight though connector what a remarkable difference in performance. It’s like a completely different vehicle. Not only does pull away effortlessly, it now glides up hills. Hopefully with new turbo and fuel hoses as well as exhaust down pipe it’s only going to get better.

Just a brief update for those who may experience similar issues...

Unfortunately I have not been able to fit the new hoses due to them going missing in transit and I am I am still awaiting a replacement set from the ebay seller. However, the crude temporary fuel fix that Lynall suggested has worked wonders. An incredible improvement in the performance.
