Hey all was just wandering if anyone knew of a reliable garage in or around Sheffield where I can get my timing belt changed? (or a lz member that might want to donate there services for cash :beer2: ;) ). Ive got the kit ready to go on but just dont have the right tools for the job, (30mm socket for 1!) also how much should I be paying for fitting?
all advice grately recieved :)

iv got a socket you can borrow in wakefield :), it not too bad a job to do the hardest bit i had was getting the bloody viscous cowl off, and the pully wheel.

haha, i got further than that got the fan off no probs, but once i came to the crank pully bolt i just assumed id got a big enough socket to fit :eek: turns out my sockets only go up to 26mm, suppose i should have checked first before starting the job but hey i am a bloke after all!!! :D if i have no luck ill give you a shout ;)

I have done one years ago ,remember having to take off the starter to jam the fly wheel as the crank bolt was FT
:beer2::beer2:

na...long breaker bar, wedge it under drivers side chassis (no slack), remove the cable from back of fuel pump (dont know why got told to), close bonnet, crank car for 1 second literally 1 or 2 tries then go back..nut should be loose.

:) you were told to remove the wire from the fuel soleniod so that the car didnt fire up when you turned it over.. if id had you'd have had some fun on yer hands.

Yeh thanks for the feedback lads if the prices for a garage comes back sky high then ill just have to buy a good quality socket or try and borrow 1 (suppose if i buy 1 ive always got it in the end! ;)) then find a weekend where ive got plenty of time. Its somthing on the long long list of things to do thats got to be done, sooner rather than later!
