300tdi ride hight

Good afternoon all could some one tell me if it's possible to tell what springs are fitted to my discovery it's a simmonets built one and has 265 75 16 tyres fitted it is riding quite high at the moment so am thinking of lowering it a bit to poss a one inch lift would this be a good idea the car is going to be more of a daily driver now with a bit of green laneing also is there any one who knows the measurement from the ground to the top of the arch with a 2inc lift fitted cheers
