300tdi no power now wont start !

Dear whoever ...


I have a 300tdi and i recently went through some water .... unfortunatly it stalled and i ended up on the roof.

Water has gone in through the filler cap and also the snorkal has leaked !

i have cleaned the fuel lines out and the tank and the intercooler and the water out the engine !
It started back up and ran for about 5 minutes till i took it out on the road and it lost power totally, it will tick over but nothing medium or high revs it just starts coughing n will cut out with blowing loads of white smoke out in the process!

Ive cleaned the intercooler out and took glow plugs out n gave it a blast got it all back together and still no joy.

took the new fuel filter off and it was full of muck so now going to drop the fuel again , clean the tank out and clean the fuel lines out ...

Any body any other ideas in the meantime ??

Im no expert at all, but the smoke i cant help with but as for it cutting out if youve cleaned the fuel pipes, sounds a bit like air in the fuel, could be air getting in from the fuel lines or somewhere that youve taken off, id have a good look at all the connections. Someone please correct me if im talking bulls**t!!

ive cleaned all the fuel lines and cleaned all the tank out.... i got it started and it was taking all the fuel out of the filter but not pulling it through .... my guess is next it could be the lift pump, but dont realy want to spend £45 on a lift pump if it isnt the problem ...

i cant realy feel anything coming or going from the lift pump so it maybe the problem ...

and for ratty's comment.... i have prayed to every god there is .... no1 is willing to help tho ! dam !!!
