300TDi Instrument Panel LEDs

Hi Everyone,

I've been a LR owner for 14 years but only just found this very informative and friendly website.

I am presently trying to improve the illumination of the instrument/dashboard on the 1996 300TDi and want to fit replacement LEDs instead of bulbs.

Does anyone know what the LED replacements are and where in the UK or the World I can source them from.

Thanks in advance, I'm sure someone will have the knowlege in that LR Zone somewhere.

If they're the same as on a 200 dash then the bulbs are 286's and there loads of LED 286's on Fleabay. Just depends what colour you want.

heres the link to the company on ebay i bought from. the guy did me a special deal if i gave him the number of bulbs and a pic of the dash when the LEDs were fitted.
the dash in his picture showing the blue illumination is my instrument cluster after i had fitted them

i have since altered it as the dash was to bright once the plastic diffuser had been removed inside the cluster so a mod was made and it looks brilliant now
