Hi all
My 2 button remote fob is a bit temprimental on my 1996 300tdi disco
Is there a way to bypass the imobiliser in the event of the remote packing up all together?
I had the spider unit out last year to soldered up a dry joint which fixed my no starting problems, but i have little faith in the imobiliser!!

Thanks for any advice

Andy.

Look in your manual if you have it - there is a step by step guide to how to disable the imob using the key in the lock.

Hi
Does the by-pass by-pass the whole alarm and imobiliser? if so, can you still use the key fob to open the doors, or can you only use the key?
I would prefere to do this then fit my own alarm and imobiliser. Is this possible??

Cheers again

Andy

The alarm and c/locking will still function in exactly the same way if you fit a spider link lead - only the immobilisation function is lost.
