I have (mistakenly) ordered vented disc brakes with matching calipers for my Disco 1 300tdi 1998 automatic. The dics and calipers both fit and so I have installed them. However although the calipers (old and new ones) are both Lockheed and both have the same numbers on the castings, the old ones have a single port to connect the brake pipe but the new ones have two ports. Is it ok to use the single supply pipe from the master cylinder and tee both pipes to each port or would I need to also change the master cylinder? Anyone done this before? Advice appreciated. :)

You can get adaptors that are one pipe in and two out but you will reguire an additional flexi hose and mods to the existing single pipe, unless you can rig something at the rear of the caliper some calipers has the provision for a short bridging pipe, other wise the braking system stays the same.

Many thanks Discool, I will try to tee the two pipes together, or machine up a simple tapped block that will connect them. I was uncertain if I needed more flow of fluid ie, 2 pipes feeding the caliper rather than 1. At least I dont have to change the caliper!
