I used Elring on mine. Pretty sure they are OEM spec, but top quality anyway. As JM says, a G code will be OEM too.
Looks like a new head gasket there anyway.
Did you compression test it before taking it apart?

Oo, er. Why would the box be dry?Oh aye im sick alright I wasn't expecting any issues with the box as this motor has had thousands spent on it
everything mechanical is new & its not turned a wheel since 2012
I guessing it was the garage that done the damage to it as they were doing work on it for the last owner they
were trying to get it running. Either that or as James Martin says they've fitted the torque convertor incorrectly??
The box was bone dry with no cooler pipes fitted & its not pumping fluid & has no drive. I got it half stripped
today it might be out tomorrow (might) lol
