I used Elring on mine. Pretty sure they are OEM spec, but top quality anyway. As JM says, a G code will be OEM too.
Looks like a new head gasket there anyway.

Ta much matey yes its a new head gasket, I bought the engine without seeing it so when it arrived
I pulled it to bits to make sure everything was good, in fact its minted & someone spent a small fortune
on it but I had to see for myself & I didn't know the brand of gasket they used so now I shall put it together :D

That's a sickener. Sounds potentially expensive. :(

Oh aye im sick alright I wasn't expecting any issues with the box as this motor has had thousands spent on it
everything mechanical is new & its not turned a wheel since 2012
I guessing it was the garage that done the damage to it as they were doing work on it for the last owner they
were trying to get it running. Either that or as James Martin says they've fitted the torque convertor incorrectly??
The box was bone dry with no cooler pipes fitted & its not pumping fluid & has no drive. I got it half stripped
today it might be out tomorrow (might) lol

Oo, er. :( Why would the box be dry?

It was a full resto & rebuild why they never put the oil & cooler pipes on is beyond me as it has the brand new full allisport kit fitted  (the new pipes were in the back of it ffs im assuming they were more interested in getting it running which they couldnt do either, I bought it as a non runner unfinished project. Got receipts for over 7k in parts with it lol

@kevstar is that block in your picture as it came back from the machine shop? ie was it re-bored and honed? Or did you just put new pistons in to the old bores?
