Hello All,

I've just fitted a 300tdi engine to my 2.5NA, but need a bit of help with the fuel setup. On the fuel pump we have two threaded fuel connections, one (i guess) fuel in and one fuel return. Any change anyone knows which is which? one connection is coming out the side facing the the rear of the car and one is coming out the bottom. I'm guessing I change the N/A filter and go from tank to lift pump, from lift pump to filter and from filter to fuel in on diesel pump. The second connection on the diesel pump will go to the tank return. I would appreciate any help you could give me so I can get her back on the road.

Another thing, I've got the filter from the disco and it has fuel in and out only (unlike the n/a which has all sorts of returns) but it also has two spade type ellectrical connectors?? anyone know why.??

Stick your finger over it and see which one sucks when you move the arm - thats how I worked out which was which on my new pump last month - they are all different depending on which one you have, a guess would say the one facing the rear is the suck IN side.

The electrical connection is for a warning light, its not needed.

Regarding the connections: tank to lift, lift to filter, filter to injection pump, return lines from the injectors AND injection pump go back along the return line.
