So is there a proper question to your thread title...or, are you saying your finger slipped into the vent cowl and has yet to be recovered? Or, something else...?

Ok , so here's what happened . I was asking a question about something which I then figured out the answer to so I tried to delete the post altogether but couldn't see how to do that so I just erased the question . At which point I must have touched the asterisk .. I do need help with replacing the vented dash panel though , as in my latest post .
