Hiya All,

Well happy days, Landie went for MOT, just failed on the handbrake efficiency, advised to strip it down and take a butchers.

Well while I am at it , I thought I may as well change the shoes and maybe the cable. well now I am in a bit of a pickle, as before I start I want to order a set of shoes. BUT I do not know what set I need, did a search, and Busters guide seems to be a different set up, Goggle it and there appear to be lots of different versions. mine has the direct cable access and the adjuster is at the 6 o clock position. Now the beast is a bit of an updated bitsa, so cannot use age to check and find it.

Is the same handbrake as shown in the defender workshop manual section 70, page 15.

So can any fine person tell me the part numbers for shoes and cable and a good source for these.

Cheers

well just for info,

I am hoping, ( fingers crossed ) that I have managed to find the correct part numbers and got them ordered .

shoes ICW500010
spring kit ICW100050
cable SPB000160.

If anyone knows these are wrong then please let me know, otherwise I am going to up a dirty smelly creek. LOL

Cheers

Well, I got the MOT, 2 hours laid under the landie changing the Transmission Brake shoes, adjusting the handbrake.

and today it is Job Done, Gotta say the parts came from LRDirect for the next day after ordering , cheap enuff , canna complain, good job from them.

it's easy to do it via the middle seat

my lrd never comes next day, but only takes 2-3.. i'm happy enough :)
