Hand brake woes.

Hi All. I can’t find one of these for love or money and my current Landrover has a botched job instead of this part. Would a more modern (post 2007) handbrake set up work instead and if so is it a direct swap? Alternatively does anyone have one,know where I can get one or have the exact dimensions so I can get someone to fabricate on.
