300tdi Cylinder Head, Short Block And Injector Pump

Hi all,

My Discovery has now given up the go! Cracked injector pump casing, damaged valves, fucxed cylinder head and fucxed piston 1!

All because of the timing belt snapping!

Soo......

Does anyone know of a good place/company who can provide recon cylinder heads and/or short blocks. Also - a replacement injector pump is required!

I'm on a v. tight budget, so cant afford new parts!

Head will cost you approx £300. I would be looking for a secondhand engine myself. By the time you have got a short block, new injector pump, new head and a new piston also while you are there it would probably be worth replacing the big end and main bearings and your crank might need a re grind.

You say you are on a tight budget then I would say go for a complete secondhand engine. Try and see it running before you part with hard earned and try and get one with history.

Hey, Yella is breaking a J reg 200tdi including engine bits. I'm sure some 200 bits are common to the 300?

yella has already broke it and most of the parts have gone, what bits are yer after, i might have something lying around the yard somewhere
