Cruise isn't working, yes I have read the threads and yes all the pipe ends needed cutting back and reconnecting. Now here is the problem: The pump located by the jack has two thin pipes connected to it, there is a connector without a pipe on it. I have 2 pipes! 1 is the thicker one that goes to the T piece on the bulkhead and another thin one. What goes where? It is a 1997 300tdi auto. Thanks

The thing with the pipe disconnected was the egr solenoid, replaced the small pipe on the connector, now going in search of the cruise vac pump which looking at the diagrams is below the panel that the jack sits on?

yes its under the jack panel, and you need small hands to get to it!! there should be a big circular hole, put your fingers in there and feel towards the front of the car and its there
