300Tdi Crash Damaged

Don't think I will be able to sort the disco out, hate doing body work

Offering it up here, 167k ran sweet, small tick from vacuum pump. Body work in good condition, will need vic check to get back on road.

Interior in great condition apart from boot carpet, oil spilt from an engine I was carrying and stained it.

No faults from engine, gearbox shifts fine in low and high.

Good tyres, brand new Dakar spare on alloy. Good car to get back on road, or for donor to another rotten one, located in Fife Scotland, starts and drives but will need trailering due to damage

I already have 2 other P38's to concentrate on, prefer not to break at present as too cold to work on it.

Best offers over £800 takes it.

Ah the first one, been offered around that on Gumtree, for some reason, people on this site like to think everything is worth a packet of crisps and a mars bar.

Motor alone goes for half that.

Will see what it goes for.

Aye, but the main difference being top one is a dreamer, bottom one is a rust bucket and could not be put back on the road, I looked at about 20-30 discoveries, travelling upwards of 100 miles each way, what I saw should not have been on the road. But as I say, I can ask what I want, if no luck, will break it when my garage is free for a month or so.

Prices may be different down sarf, up here we have a more limited choice, prices have always been higher.

i gave less than that for mine, no rot and 12 months test.

Yeah, but tis a Cat C repaired, that will effect the value...

Ah well, will have to break it then. Seems a pity, but your probably right.

My offer still stand's not taking the **** mate genuinely interested!

I would have said that's a fair price, then you don't have all the faffing about of breaking it and getting rid of the bits that don't sell

i would take the £450, only a couple of parts sell fast rest you will have for ages and still may only make £600 which is what i paid for mine with t&t

Will be breaking it on Saturday as already asked for some bits

I have no problem with it taking 12 months, I would like drive space back, but not a big issue.

An extra £400 in the pocket is better for me than you. To be honest, its looking like about £1200 if I break it, at less that I want prices.
