My new toy, the 300 tdi, came with only one key, one central locking fob, and one sterling transponder.
needless to say this is not good! a second key is straight forward enough, but can you guys suggest a source for a second locking fob and another transponder?
Your help would be much appreciated.
Regards, Peter.

Toad security (TOAD Security) have taken over from Sterling and can supply a replacement transponder for about £50, but do check out Evilbay as they can be found under the Toad name for as little as £20 there.
These transponders have to be "taught" to work in you car, I was warned that the time to do this is about 8 seconds - any longer and it times out so it needs two people to do the trick - if you time out you have to start again from scratch. if you do it alone it can be 20 seconds to do it all!!! well thats what I've been warned.

As to the central locking fob, that link from Discool is good, follow the suggestions on the web site, or give them a ring, they are very helpfull. I had to open my exsisting fob to find the details on the crystal oscillator on the circuit board. again some very basic "training" may be required.

Anybody able to advise me on Alarm problems, My central locking recently failed due to water ingress. replaced it with a secondhand item, reprogramed fob, opens & closes as it should, turns over, but won't fire, not putting any smoke out so assume pump is still immobilised. Is this because the transponder in the fob doesn't match the car. It's a 300tdi auto 97 model, so has EDC fly by wire thingy, don't think this model has the dodgy spider box.
